Karen Ward, PhD is a Counselling Psychotherapist and Supervisor (IACP) and Holistic Therapist based at her Dublin Clinic since 1997. Her research at Dublin City University encompassed a specific Energy Therapy technique to safely introduce non-denominational spirituality into a counselling setting. She now leads workshops online to teach this to fellow health practitioners worldwide.

As a Shamanic Practitioner, Supervisor and Teacher, trained in the Celtic lineage and Druidic traditions, Karen co-founded and runs Slí an Chroí School of Irish Celtic Shamanism with her husband John Cantwell.

She co-rediscovered the Brigid’s Way Celtic Pilgrimage and runs Moon Mná Women’s Celtic Circles offering Rites of Passage Ceremonies and online Courses. 

Karen is author of Goddesses of Ireland for adults and Glorious Goddesses of Ancient Ireland a children’s version and of best-selling book The Secrets of Ageless Ageing as well as co-editor of Soul Seers – an Irish Anthology of Celtic Shamanism. She is a columnist for Naturally Good Health magazine and RTE website's Brainstorm section.
